Berlin birthday trip

I'll turn 42 on April 3rd.

I've been wanting to take another trip to Berlin, and to take augeas to see Berlin. I've also been wanting to go clubbing at K17 for a Dark Friday again. Well, lo and behold! Fri 3rd April is the April Dark Friday. It seems like it would be almost rude not to go, aftert they've arranged such a nice birthday present for me ;-)
I've decided I do indeed want to go, taking G at least aloneg with.
Is anyone else intersted in coming along for the club night and wandering Berlin a bit?

Things having been busy, and more important felines having taken precedence as far as my energies and planning go, I've not actually booked flights nor hostel rooms yet.
I'm not up to trying to be too much of the organizatrix behind getting a bunch of people there and housed*, but I'm happy to make calls on behalf of more people than just G and myself while I'm making the calls to book for the two of us, and/or at least to share booking info with folks as I find it.
*(my top candidates for that are either at the Dark Hostel, which is right by the club, or at the Circus Hostel, which I have stayed at before. I'm told Dark Hostel's rooms come in pairs of double rooms with shared bathroom and kitchen. I've no clue if they have space or not that weekend but will call soon)

Current tenative plan is that I'll go either Friday morning or maybe the Thursday night. augeas cannot get off work that day (it being the last day before Easter Hols start) so he'll have to fly on the Friday evening. The club's an allnighter anyway, so he'll still be able to make it there in time for plenty of clubbing. I think we will probably stay until some time Mon/Tues/Wed -ish to take advantage of his Holiday time.

Bugger. It's looking like my first long-stay visa here will be a family reunification visa, which means that I can't leave Belgium for 9 months or until my status changes to "student" (*shakes fist at university for being sloooow*), whichever comes first. And my short-stay visa (which does allow me to travel) expires March 25th.

Grr, grr! I wanted to go to your birthday! And I love Berlin, and there are some guys in Potsdam who I really should meet for a project I'm getting involved with, and ... argh.

poo! oh well. we shall simply have to make plans to go to Berlin for another Dark Friday in a future month once you have a visa that lets you travel again *nods*

and I'll just have to make a trip to see you in Belgium soonish.

I've been meaning to appologise for not managing to write a letter to the governator for you btw. I am teh suck when it comes to writing stuff it seems... I sat down to give it a go and got totally blocked on writing, well... complete sentences even :-P :-( Let me know if there are other ways I can be halpful on that front.

I'd love to go, but will need to check it doesn't clash with an interview - as you said, this coincidence makes it nearly rude not to! ;-)
