I won't search for a house upon a hill.
Aug. 2nd, 2007 03:58 pmTell a lie, it's entirely possible I will, actually... I rather fancy Crouch End or Muswell Hill as possibilities.
Yes, folks, looks like it's that time of year again. My current household is scattering to the winds... this time the house is going up for sale, so it's "all change here", no one staying behind. Got to be out by early September from the look of things. At least this time my financial situation is stable :-) Although the timing could be better with regard to my MSc thesis deadlines and stuff. :-/
I could, feasibly, actually afford a studio flat on my own. A one bedroom would be more of a stretch, with horsekeeping expenses taking up a chunk of my monthly budget. The thing is, I'm really not in the mood to go live on my own right now, and besides if I can find a housemate or two we'll get a lot more space for our money (not to mention improving the chance of geting a place with a garden of its own again).
Thus, the search for potential housemates to go househunting with begins. I thought I'd kick it off here by asking my fl if they knew anyone who is looking for housemates too. They must like, or at least tolerate ;-P, cats as housemates too of course. (Theo does seem to be capable of adjusting to new feline housemates, btw)
I'm planning to stick to North London this time (unless something just too fab to pass up turns up elsewhere of course).
I suppose I'll post to gothhousing and the like in a few days, but thought I start here first!
