Little wooden cats
Aug. 1st, 2009 07:08 pmTheo's ashes have come back. Theo's sleeping cat carving 'urn' is varnished a much darker shade than Kekh's, which befits the earthly remains of a black cat quite well I think. He has a scent of fresh varnish, which makes me wonder if the people at the cremation service actually darkened the wood specifically to suit the fact they were interring a black cat in that carving.
So now I have two smooth wooden carved cats in place of my soft fuzzy warm live ones. :-(
Little miss Tunsica kitty (flatmate's kitty) has just had to put up with me scooping her up to cuddle. She's a lovely sweet kitty, but she's very much daddy's little girl, as well as being particular about when and how she's held. Poor thing, this past week she's had to tolerate me needing kitty cuddles from her a bit more often than she'd got used to.
